HOLIDAY IN THE RESORT HOHENPEISSENBERG
VOGELBEERE B&B
Our Bed&Breakfast is located in a quiet residential area of Hohenpeissenberg, a village which is dominated by the Hoher Peissenberg mountain (988 m) and situated in the heart of the Pfaffenwinkel, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The rooms for the guests are all on the first floor built of wood which was added onto an existing bungalow in the year 2022. Apart from 3 individually designed bedrooms there is a spacious breakfast room and lounge, a meditation room and a garden where you are invited to relax. All rooms have exposed roof trusses and high-quality wooden furnishings.

WELCOMING – IN CLOSE TOUCH WITH NATURE – TRANQUIL
OUR VALUES
In our B&B we value hospitality, repose and being in close touch with nature. My husband and I chose the name “Vogelbeere” (“rowan berry”) because we love birds and enjoy watching them. In designing the guest rooms we chose a colour palette guided by the colours of the blackbird, the nightingale and the nuthatch and their natural habitat. On our frequent visits to England, Scotland and Wales we have come to appreciate the friendly and hospitable atmosphere of the local B&Bs and decided that we wanted to offer a similar feel in our home country.
ENJOYMENT OF GOOD FOOD
Our delicious and generously portioned breakfast is made from locally sourced and produced ingredients wherever possible which should ensure that our guests have a good start to the day. Hohenpeissenberg offers a small number of local restaurants, two of them within walking distance of Vogelbeere B&B. In the surrounding villages and towns there are lots of good restaurants and inns to cater for all tastes. Guests who do not wish to go out again after having arrived late can be served a small evening meal on request.
GARDEN AND NATURE
By spring 2023 the garden area and summer house for our guests should be completed. In
the meantime you can relax on your balcony or explore nature on a walk or hike into the
nearby forest, to the wild river Ammer or up the Hoher Peissenberg.
TRANQUILITY AND MINDFULNESS
With an eye for detail we have tried to make our house a retreat for guests who would
appreciate some time out. We want you to feel very much at home and to find peace and
tranquillity in our beautiful surroundings.
EXPLORE HOHENPEISSENBERG
Hohenpeissenberg is located in the centre of the “Pfaffenwinkel” (“clerics’ corner”) at the foot of the Hoher Peissenberg. On a clear day you’ll enjoy a stunning panoramic view of 200 km Alpine chain from its peak. The Hoher Peissenberg (988m) and it`s landmarks, the pilgrimage church, the meteorological observatory and the broadcasting station, can be seen from all directions and from a long distance. Hohenpeissenberg has a history of coal mining. Pitch coal was excavated here until 1971. In summer Hohenpeissenberg’s bathing pond, the “Stiefelweiher” attracts locals and people from the surrounding area to take a swim, have a cold drink and chips at the snack bar or play beach volleyball. In Winter cross-country skiing is available on a 7 km trail which meanders through a beautiful countryside along the edge of the “Schwarzlaichmoor”, a moorland that was declared a natural reserve in 1951.
